Honolulu Records is the most sincere and caring way we've found to bring our musical and artistic ideas to life: an alternative to the traditional record label market and a solution to avoid wasting the creativity and ideas of a community of musicians. Honolulu is an independent label primarily for non-commercial, improvised art music. We are a collective of musicians with a deep love for research and experimentation. Our aim is to produce music that is a spontaneous and necessary expression of our time and to engage an audience as wide and diverse as possible. We hope to create connections between musicians, creatives, and different artistic fields while spreading good music as much as we can. Honolulu Records provides assisted self-production and supports artists in releasing their music by lowering production costs and collectively managing the bureaucratic and organizational aspects of the process.
